MISSING YOUR HORSE BACK HOME?The Dalhousie Equestrian Team is a Halifax based group for Dalhousie and King's students who share an interest in equestrian activities. Our society aims to bring together students with a common interest of horses, and offers opportunities for students to ride and compete during the school year.
what we doWe offer a lesson program and a competitive show team. The lesson program is for those who do not want to compete but want to ride. The competitive show team is apart of the AIEL league and is made up of different divisions!
We are also committed to helping society members build lasting friendships. We want our members to be able to get to know each other out of the saddle so we host social events and fundraising activities! |
lessonsOur lessons focus primarily on safe and effective English riding. We welcome riders of all levels to be a part of our team. Lesson sign up takes place at the beginning of each semester. Those interested must attend a mandatory "try-out" so that we can place you in the appropriate lesson level.
For more info, hit the "Lesson Program" tab in the website menu. |
SHOW TEAMOur team competes against other universities in the Atlantic Intercollegiate Equestrian League. To ride with the team, you need to be actively taking lessons. There are equitation and jumping classes ranging from poles to 2'9" courses.
For more info, hit the "Show Team" tab in the website menu. Or visit the AIEL website. |
